Notifications

The bell in the header keeps you informed: records shared with you or assigned to you, imports finishing, approvals waiting on you, workflow failures, and system alerts. Everything arrives in one inbox, updates live, and is tunable per notification type.

The inbox

Click the bell to open your notification feed. The badge shows your unread count and updates in real time while you work — no refresh needed.

The notification inbox
The feed with unread items highlighted

  • Each entry shows what happened, who did it, and when — in your own language.
  • Click an entry to jump straight to the record, import job, approval, or workflow run it is about.
  • Mark a single entry read, or use Mark all as read to clear the badge.
  • Filter to unread only, or to a single notification type.
Note
Notifications are per space: switching spaces shows that space's feed.

What you get notified about

NotificationWhen it happens
Contact sharedSomeone shares a contact into your space.
Record assignedA record is assigned to you.
Import finishedAn import job you started completes (with its success and failure counts).
Approval requestedA request needs your approval — for example a send-for-approval or a workflow approval step.
Approval decidedAn approver accepted or rejected your request.
Workflow failedA workflow run failed permanently or needs human attention.
Connection unhealthyAn integration connection stops working or needs re-authorization.
System alertPlatform-level notices such as quota warnings.

Some high-frequency events (like every workflow run starting and finishing) are shown as live indicators only on the relevant pages instead of filling your inbox.

Preferences: choose your channels

Open Notification preferences from the user menu to control, per notification type, how you want to receive it:

Notification preferences
Per-type channel choices

  • In-app — the entry is kept in your inbox feed.
  • Live — a real-time toast/badge update while you are online.
  • Email / SMS — reserved for a future release; the options are visible where applicable but

delivery is not active yet.

Each type starts with sensible defaults. Your choices are personal — they follow you across spaces and never affect anyone else.

Tip
To mute a type entirely, untick all of its channels. Muting always wins: even if an
administrator or a workflow widens a notification's audience, your mute is respected.
Important
Some critical operational alerts are delivered to the users responsible for them
(for example, workflow failure reviews) based on their permissions — if you stop receiving one
you believe you need, check with your administrator. See Who Can See What.
